Nissan recently was planning to launch a new product from the Datsun brand. This car will be released at a low price, because the price would be under the Datsun GO currently marketed Rp90 million in Indonesia.
Reported by Reuters on Tuesday, March 24th, 2015, a small car that has not been named, will be launched within the next 18 months.
According to the President of Nissan India, Guillaume Sicard, this car will be manufactured at Nissan's plant in Chennai, India. Not only will be marketed in Bollywood country alone, this car will also be exported to other countries.
"This is a small car from the base Datsun GO and will be more competitive. This car will be more efficient in terms of cost (cheap)," he said.
About the price, this car was due to be sold at a price of US $ 5,193 or the equivalent of Rp67 million (Rp12.920 per US dollar exchange rate).
Based on the information gathered, the car was named Datsun Redi-Go. This car is known to have exhibited Datsun in the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) late last year in Kemayoran, Jakarta.
Later, after production, Red-Go reportedly will oust the Datsun name I2. Redi-Go known crammed gasoline engine capacity of 800 cc.
